Ingrid Buendía

Her work explores memory and time through matter and the transformative processes of the earth.

Mexican sculptor from the State of Mexico whose practice focuses on modeling and carving materials as a means to reflect on memory, temporality, and geological transformation. Through a direct, tactile relationship with matter, she reshapes stones and fragments into narratives that dialogue with natural processes and the impact of human intervention, questioning our relationship with territory and environment.

She holds a Master’s degree in Art and Design from UNAM. Her work has been exhibited in Mexico and internationally, with participation in projects and exhibitions in Japan, Serbia, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. She has directed monumental bronze sculptures for Tulum International Airport and collaborated on large-scale public art projects at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). Since 2016 she has led Pyshke Studio, where she integrates artistic practice with cultural management and editorial production.
